As part of my role in the NHS, I led a comprehensive review of staff health and wellbeing resulting in a report of recommendations being presented to the Board of Directors in 2021. These changes have been approved and distributed across the relevant departments to implement the changes for long-term change.
I re-established, re-purposed and now lead the Wales Development Forum, on behalf of Sport Wales. This network invites individuals who are working to use the power of sport to improve lives come together to share learning, challenges and opportunities to unite and enhance their sporting and physical activity provision.
I am an associate tutor at Cardiff Met in Sport Management, Global Sports Industry, Marketing & Development.
I conducted my Masters thesis exploring the role and impact of introverted leaders in the sport sector. The research discovered that those senior leaders who were interviewed all prioritised people over process, led with integrity and thought deeply before they acted. This research aligns with my values and reaffirmed my core principles.
I moved to New Zealand to undertake the role of Insights and Evaluation team Leader for Sport Waikato in 2023. During this time I led the team in implementing Power BI across the organisation and delivered training and education to teams to embed monitoring and evaluation tools into day to day operations.
