Hey, I'm Katy!

 

I'm the founder of Strategic Sport Solutions and I'm excited to work with organisations to apply my enthusiasm and experience to help develop modern, captivating and relevant sporting practices and strategies.

 

Driven by a love for enhancing sporting opportunities and creating impactful experiences for young people, I have a wealth of experience in the sport and health sectors, both in the UK and abroad. My primary roles have included developing and leading female participation programmes across Welsh Rugby and Welsh Football, witnessing participation levels more than doubling in both sports; leading the Insights and evaluation team in Sport Waikato (New Zealand) and developing health interventions for 16,000 colleagues within the NHS.

Having made  the solo move to New Zealand in 2023,, I connected with the people and the culture in a way that solidified my values - leading with curiosity, integrity and appreciating the diversity of thought across communities.  I'm a big believer in user and stakeholder research to explore and identify suitable opportunities for target audiences, according to motivations, needs and gaps in provision.
